Tools for the intrepid Cruise Loader...
Overview of tools and resources available for cruise loaders
Cruise loading is, by its very nature, a collaborative process. As data archivers, we are presented with digital files, and are asked to make them available for a long period of time. Scientists must provide us with background on file- and data-types, quality control criteria, and a variety of other science-specific information. The technological infrastructure available will inform us about the procedures we need to use, and the final format.
In the end, for a cruise-loading project to be successful, everyone must come to the table, and contribute to the long-term digital archive.
