Abstract | Integrated international multi-disciplinary field program to study uncertainty of oceanographic processes, seabed characterization, and low-frequency acoustic propagation over the outer shelf and upper slope of the East China Sea northeast of Taiwan. Program will include close collaboration with Taiwanese scientists. Program will also include long-term drifter studies, glider deployments, as well as fine-scale hydrographic surveys using towed vehicles (SeaSoar) and EM-APEX floats. Acoustic studies will include deployment of horizontal and vertical line arrays for receivers as well as mobile acoustic sources and towed sources. Moorings will also be deployed including thermistor chains and bottom-mounted ADCPs. |
