The Ocean and Geosciences Data Center at Scripps Institution of Oceanography
The mission of the OGDC is to curate and provide access to diverse oceanographic and geosciences data, especially from Scripps expeditions, making them accessible for scientific and educational use worldwide. The OGDC currently has three main projects: the Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program, managing data for the US academic research fleet; CCHDO, the Global Data Assembly Center for the GO-SHIP hydrographic program, and supporting the Site Survey Data Bank for the US Ocean Drilling Program. The OGDC also maintains the SIOExplorer portal for historic Scripps vessel data.
