Abstract | Cruise will strongly resemble WOCE Hydrographic Program cruises. Cruise support proposed jointly to NOAA OGP, NSF CO, and NSF PO programs. Prefer dual shipboard ADCPs; GPS attitude sensor such as the Ashtech ADU-2. Cruise contains two oceanographically-distinct legs. The Antarctica-South Africa leg (42 days at sea) can be run independently of the Port Louis - Muscat leg (47 days at sea), with only a relatively minor change to the shipping costs in the proposed budgets. |
