| Abstract | Collaborative Research: Hypoxia and the ecology, behavior and physiology of jumbo squid, Dosidicus gigas. Two cruises will be conducted aboard UNOLS vessels in Guaymas Basin and off Santa Rosalia, in the Gulf of California, Mexico. Cruises will take place in June of 2010 and June 2011. A total of 14 science days plus 10 days transit are requested for each cruise. We will tow trawl midwater trawl nets, SCUBA dive, tow an acoustic array, jig for squids, and conduct physiological studies on board ship. |
