| Abstract | Testing of HUGIN autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) with synthetic aperture sonar and multibeam echo sounder: Testing of the accoustic systems installed on a HUGIN autonomous underwater vehicle, including the HISAS 1030 synthetic aperture sonar and EM 3002 multibeam echo sounder. Field work to take place off the coast of San Diego, CA. Testing will involve the collection of SAS imagery and SAS/Multibeam bathymetric data. In addition, some detection and possible classification of objects on the sea floor may be performed. |
